Position Summary
We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Executive with proven experience in cargo consolidation (LCL, groupage, and airfreight) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a proactive business developer with a strong ability to generate new business, grow shipment volumes, and build long-term client relationships within the logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities across import/export, SME, and freight forwarding segments.
Drive sales of LCL (Less than Container Load), groupage, and airfreight consolidation services.
Assess customer shipping needs and propose cost-effective, tailored consolidation solutions.
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve revenue and volume targets.

Sales & Client Management
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and RFQs.
Maintain consistent client engagement to drive repeat business and increase shipment volumes.
Deliver on monthly sales, revenue, and volume (CBM/tonnage) targets.

Accounts & Relationship Management
Build and sustain strong relationships with importers, exporters, clearing agents, and logistics partners.
Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Support contract negotiations and service agreements aligned with client needs.
Operational Coordination
Collaborate with operations and warehouse teams to ensure efficient cargo consolidation and timely shipments.
Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve client issues.
Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Market Intelligence & Reporting
Stay up to date with market trends, trade lanes, and competitor activity.
Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
Track performance against targets and identify growth opportunities.

Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
A relevant diploma with strong experience will also be considered.

Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics or freight forwarding sales.
Proven experience in consolidation services (LCL/groupage/airfreight) is highly preferred.
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Established industry network within logistics, import/export, or clearing & forwarding is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies
Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of freight operations, Incoterms, and shipping documentation.
Ability to manage multiple clients in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
